Laura Cupit
Laura Cupit
Performs with: Darren Jay and the Delta Souls

Currently, Laura is laying down the bass with Memphis blues sensations Darren Jay and the Delta Souls and celebrating their newly released album “Drink My Wine”

Laura has been playing bass since the mid 90’s, making the trek from LA to Memphis, via a stop in Little Rock, AR. After settling into the local Memphis blues scene in the late 90’s she began writing music and mixing with some of the “cream” blues players and soon after the Eric Hughes Band was formed.

For 10 years, Laura played with the Eric Hughes Band, who have been a local favorite at many of the world famous Beale Street clubs. With Laura laying down the low-end, the EHB has also been featured on Dan Akroyd’s nationally syndicated “Elwood’s Blues Show” and annual appearances with Steady Rollin’ Bob Margolin at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. The EHB also travel the mid-south region as featured regulars at many blues festivals. Currently, Laura is playing on Beale with a hot new blues artist Darren J of I-55 Records.

Laura also works in the music industry at Amro Music, where she discovered her beloved Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 and NEOX 212T cabinet. She can be found most weeks rockin’ the local Beale Street clubs with her Genz Benz rig.

The Streamliner 900 and the Uber 4-10 cabinet

Quote from Artist:
I love the combination of the Streamliner 900 with the Uber 4-10 cabinet. So much distinction within a big, thick punch. ~Laura Cupit
